Just shows greed + stupidity is a dangerous mix. Dude should have asked Han..

That ending tho...anyone with a library that badass would make me nervous asf, much less a final stage foundation establishment devil practitioner.

Dase • 2 years ago

To be fair everyone would be eyeing those pills lol and like most novels, it is easy to obtain rare treasures but it is another to be able to live long enough to enjoy them

One does need to have the capability to keep them lol

douluo • 2 years ago

Yeah true. It seems that "take the treasure and figure it out later" is more the norm than the exception, even for the experienced.

TRD-MR2 • 2 years ago

He just makes it look so much worse since he was pretty much thanking and talking to Han about his greed which got him in trouble, while at that same moment trying to hide the pills to keep them for himself 😌

OfficialDrixMalone • 2 years ago

I would have to agree with you on his sneakiness smh.

vio • 2 years ago

That library reminded me of another donghua called the island of siliang.

Dase • 2 years ago

I love that series, hopefully season 2 should be coming out soon

vio • 2 years ago

I stopped at where it started hinting that she was suffering from multiple personality disorder which was reminding me of yuan long and BTTH so I kept going to watch those two instead.

Dase • 2 years ago

Multiple personality? The female lead? I didnt get that

vio • 2 years ago

It might have been the old man/brother that was taking care of her and that had the multiple personality disorder. I just remember that she went to the house to check on him and couldnt find no one. Not sure if I remember the next part correctly but I think she was talking to herself as the old man which is what made me think she had multiple personalities.

Dase • 2 years ago

Nuuuuuu the brother who was missing for over ten years took over the identity of the Elder Heng, disguising as him and has been protecting and taking care of the adopted sister for the past ten years (without her knowing) while investigating the cause of the calamity ten years ago, only Elder Feng (the woman that looks like a little girl with lot's of make up, well she is a phoenix god, know about it) Although the series never said how he did it, but it is implied that Elder Heng died of old age since no one on the Island is able to live for more than 100 years let alone 90 years

OfficialDrixMalone • 2 years ago

Definitely was a great series too, wasn't expecting it to be so enjoyable, loved the cgi too.

Zack D. • 2 years ago

Good tier....I really miss island of siliang want it to become a big big budget drama

A little irrelevant to the episode but is kinda about the entire novel/animation. Spirit Root, Elements and Talent Gradings of Cultivators

Spirit Root can have various elements such as 5 Base Elements of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth, mutated (fusion) Elements such as Wind, Lightning and Dark etc...

Fake/False Spirit Root is those with 4 or 5 elements. Having 4 Elements, Han Li is considered as having low talent. Having too many Elements in a Spirit Root means each element is not suffice. One have a lot more skills to choose to learn. But since his spirit root has very little of each elements, his level up and power behind various elements are inferior.

True Spirit Root is those with 2 or 3 Elements. As there are less elements in a Spirit Root, each element is more abundance, but not to ridiculous level. Still, base cultivation rate is noticeably higher than False Root Cultivators. Those with 2 Elements are in fact several times higher in cultivation rate! However, the skills option is limited to the elements you have. Good thing is due to having more elements in spirit root, the charge up speed (casting speed) and power behind those spells are stronger because more amount of elements in the spirit root.

Heavenly Spirit Root those with 1 Element. In theory you can't get purer/more abundant than this. A major restriction is this Genius is limited to skills with that particular Element until higher levels.
Advantages
Cultivation Rate: Tens of times faster than False Root.
Due to the GOD DAMNED IT! THIS IS OVERKILL WAY TOO MUCH Elements in the damned Spirit Root. When a Heavenly Root Talent fires that spell, it is likely going to be at higher rate and more powerful.

Mutated Spirit Root: 2 or more types of elements fused together. Ice, Wind, Lightning, Dark etc.. due to mix elements, they are more powerful than Heavenly Spirit Root and have comparable cultivation rate. Lightning is more powerful than Fire. Ice is more powerful than Water. However, mutated spirit root will run into a lot of trouble/unable to achieve Core Formation. A lot can't get through to Core, some believe it is impossible, it is actually just extremely difficult like False Roots. This is why you almost never run into anyone at Core Formation or higher with a Mutated Spirit Root

Super Spirit Root: There are only 2 types of Super Root. Sun or Moon. Sun Root is Good, Moon Root is evil. So they are sometimes known as Good and Evil Roots. Their Cultivation rates is about 10 times faster than Heavenly Root. Basically superior to False and Heavenly put together. False's versatility, Heavenly's power and cultivation rate. Their Element is Yang (For Sun) and Yin (for Moon). Yin and Yang births the 5 Elements. Therefore, Super Root can use all 5 Elements. if you are smart and skilled enough, even the Mutated Elements.

SInce either Element will end up with Yin-Yang Harmony, Being born with either one = born able to do everything.

Not exactly spirit root, but also very important to Cultivators from Spirit/Divine Transformation onwards: 'Wisdom Root' Coincidentally, it also has a 'root' in its name. Definitely not on purpose, the Chinese people aren't these kind of people! fOrGeT the GAZILLION times Chinese people did similar sarcasms/trolling on purpose! Must believe them!! It's an accident!

Back to topic: Wisdom Root is the Cultivator's ability to comprehend Immortal Cultivation. Crucial to go beyond Divine Transformation. Something Han Li possess greatly which is why he managed to go up to such a high level.

Extra Trivial
Spirit Roots will grow as the Cultivator's level grows. By Divine Transformation, the Spirit Root has reached a point where it's better to have multiple Elements than a single Element. It goes according to the saying "There's a limit to how far you can go with just 1 field" or "Too rigid makes it easy to break"

You can see later on, Han Li's False Spirit Root isn't as much issue as early stages. His biggest problem is the bottleneck between Foundation Late and Core Formation. Though not mentioned, you can assume that once a Cultivator forms Core (Car Engines upgrade to Nuclear Reactors) the Spirit Root becomes big enough to have sufficient Elements.

(There are also ways to purify Spirit Roots... This is common sense, they can create artificial Spirit Roots for Divine Transformation to upgrade to Refine Emptiness, they probably have ways to purify the Root)

Early Level confusion.
Some may think having multiple Elements beats Single Element.

According to Chinese Elements...
Metal births Water (water condense on surface of metal)
Water births Wood
Wood births Fire
Fire births Earth
Earth births Metals

Single Element Cultivators can use their innately more powerful Single Element to 'Birth' another Element to fuel spells of a different element and this spell from different element is just as strong as original element.

For example Heavenly Fire Spirit Root Cultivator given enough practice can 'birth' Earth element with Fire and use Earth Spells. Earth absorbs/Beats Water. You ain't pwning the person with Water attacks since his Earth spells will be just as powerful as Fire. Not to mention, Cultivators tend to load themselves up with magic gear just to deal with these situations. A Heavenly Root Genius is definitely funded by powerful clans who will give them gear to counter their weakness.

Smiley Face • 2 years ago

Dase already posted a few times about the spiritual roots already. It's even on the synopsis page

Dase • 2 years ago

It's good that he or she is posting the information up again, saves me from doing it again and people complaining about me repeating myself lol

Not everyone reads everything so some people might have missed my posts so this is good, if it helps others who havent read it I am happy

bentov • 2 years ago

Thanks for sharing that.

Knowledge and power is a deadly combination, when the villain is also a book worm with every Ph.D known to men XD.

Jalaluddin Aris • 2 years ago

Huh? After the excitement of last episode, this episode is a cool off for the action of next episode?

MerlandoXO • 2 years ago

see things and leave them be, great lessons can always be taught through animation.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Aerlis Ambrosius • 2 years ago

Not sure if I remember correctly, but if those 5 pills are what I think they are, then they are crucially important to someone who has no way to form a core. I remember Han Li having to cobble together 5 spiritual cores from 5 elements to form his his own core.

Winteriscoming • 2 years ago

Nah, Han Li just failed at forming core multiple times at Foundation Late Stage. In the Chinese Novel, the Author even added foreword saying that he originally planned for Han Li to fail another 2 more times before he succeed but he fear pissing off the Chinese Readers even further and 'jokingly' wakes up one day to see a group of angry Chinese readers with machetes waiting outside his house.

Aerlis Ambrosius • 2 years ago

But in the novel didn't he have to gather 5 spiritual cores to from others in order to make his own perfect 5 element core?

Winteriscoming • 2 years ago

Oh you mean the five θ‘€ε‡δΊ”θ‘ŒδΈΉ 'Blood Condensed Five Elements Pills'

Here's the whole thing. This particular Evil 'Black Ghast Sect' learned a kind of Evil Skill that allows them to form a kind of Monster Core. This is the reason for the Foundation Stage Members of this Evil Cult being so strong and have ability to demonize.

The price is, you can never ever reach Core Formation until the Evil Sect Master discovered the lost η…žδΈΉζœ― Ghast Pill Recipe.

Built based on hunting and draining other people's powers like before but on a greater scale. The Five Elements Blood Pills are materials for creating Ghast Pills, help anyone, even 5 Elements False Root Cultivator with 0 Wisdom Root to reach Core Formation.

Well, it was stated to be 'Fake Core' unlike Foundation Establishment, this is as far as one can ever go with this method. This is why the Black Ghast Sect is so powerful but it can never match any of the major sects. It's a super shortcut that leads to a deadend.

If Han Li eats them, he will forever be stuck in Core Formation and never able to reach Nascent Soul.

So short, damn!!!!
